Summer in the City: Pixies

eagerly awaiting the amazing Pixies arrival on stage....

...and here they are!

...managed to stay for 3 songs on the front row before fear of being' moshed to death' took over and i somehow squeezed my way out of the crowd! was really  pleased I had stayed for 3 songs but glad to get out of the 'squash pit' - found a spot a bit further back where I was in little danger of getting knocked over and could listen and sing along to the brilliant Pixies! too much of a wuss to stay any longer!!

and there they go ..BRILLIANT band....BRILLIANT gig. They played for ages, back to back songs, no in between song banter but fantastic.

10 July, 2014: Rock hit the North hard when the legendary Pixies arrived in Manchester for a huge headline show at Summer In The City - joined by indie heroes Maximo Park and rising noise duo Royal Blood.
Destined for greatness, new talent doesn't come much more exciting than Royal Blood, who dazzled with a short and sharp set of track from their hotly-anticipated self-titled debut album. For indie party anthems, you can always rely on Maximo Park for a good time. And as for Pixies, well their staggering catalogue of classics speaks for itself.
