Made a couple of new discoveries in Manchester at the weekend whilst wandering through the Northern Quarter. New place that i discovered was 'The Soup Kitchen' - 'Canteen.Venue.Gallery'. Really fantastic place. Had these fantastic prints from In Print hanging from the ceiling. Great vibe in the place and great soup (as you may expect!).
'Soup Kitchen is a canteen, bar and music venue located in Manchester’s Northern Quarter District- Across two floors hosting live music events, club nights, film nights, comedy events and art exhibitions'. http://soup-kitchen.co.uk/
Next discovery this brilliant book shop - Magma ... Could have spent a fortune. Loved the drawing books - good link to this drawing blog with the artists work featured in 'Freehand'

Walked down Oldham street to centre... Great view of the wheel in Piccadilly Gardens. All lit up in pink (with a little additional Instagram help!)
On the way to the Ritz (to see Swim Deep) on Saturday night. Walked past The Cornerhouse Cinema and took this photograph in homage to the work I saw at 'The Manchester Craft & Design Centre'... by 'The Wall of Art'. I loved the 'Goodnight & Goodluck' work so took this ...absolutely no-where near as good as there's - see below for the inspiration - fantastic image!
Look at their website to see the wonderful work they produce:
