I visited the New Gallery at Chatsworth - really interesting to see contemporary design in this new gallery against the backdrop of the stunning rooms in Chatsworth. This was the first time contemporary applied art has been showcased in the New Gallery. 'Modern Makers' is a selling exhibition of work by contemporary designer/makers, curated by Sarah Griffin for Sotheby's. Makers including Joseph Walsh, Maisie Broadhead and Junko Mori will create furniture, ceramics, metalwork and textiles to create a fresh take on our own State Rooms.
