'Inspiration to the World', Foxlowe Arts Centre, Leek

Natasha has her first solo exhibition at the Foxlowe Arts Centre, Leek. The inspiration for the exhibition...my colleagues and I from the Art Department at Leek School of Art! Natasha has produced an excellent collection of portraits in pencil  of Jennie (Morrey), Celia (Kent) and her sons, Anne-Lise (Fraser), Chris (Thompson) and Gwen (Emery) and two paint portraits of myself and Harry (Richardson). All of us teach Natasha and are very proud of her exhibiting her work and being the 'subjects' for her work.

'Introduction of Inspiration to the World'

'Inspiration to the world project, is about seven tutors that have given me inspiration in life and will be the most important inspirations, the project I will look at different artists that use different mediums and recreate their work to experiment in depth in their style, I will then create portraits in my own style using the certain mediums using the eight different tutors to use as observations, as I want to express the tutors for what they mean to me. After practising different mediums I am going to improve some of the mediums I have already done that I want to go further, before I decide which medium I am going to use for the final eight portraits. After doing all eight final portraits of my chosen medium, all the studies of the tutors will then be exhibited at the Foxlowe Arts Centre, Leek which I will create a poster about the exhibition to be advertised around leek creating it to stand out'. Natasha Davenport -artist & student at Leek School of Art (as part of Buxton & Leek College).
